Reproduction and Life Cycle

A female cow gives birth to a baby called a calf. The gestation megabetusa period, or pregnancy, lasts about nine months, similar to humans. Calves usually depend on their mother’s milk for several months before eating solid food. As they grow, they develop into adult cows or bulls. The average lifespan of a cow is around 15 to 20 years, although on farms, many cows are raised mainly for milk or meat production.
